Our Society
In the year 1917, when the lion of the freedom fighter Shri Lokamanya Tilak visited Athani and inspired eminent and dedicated personalities, got together to start an educational institution. This inspirational idea gave birth to ATHANI EDUCATION SOCIETY in the year 1918. During the same period another school by the name Anglo Vernacular school which was being run in jinning factory premises and Nippanikar Wada, merged with Athani education society in the year 1924. But the society did not have its own building. Then Shri Uddavaji Bhate came forward with magnanimous donation and saw that a beautiful structure in the shape of a flying eagle was built in the memory of his brother late Shri Jadhavaji Anandaji Bhate.
With the passage of time it was regarded as JADHAVAJI EDUCATION SOCIETY and continues so.
